Biographical Information: Thomas was the son of Commander Charles Beard and Kathleen Beard, of Victoria, British Columbia. He attended Shawnigan Lake School, and was later trained as a Naval Cadet at Stadacona and Britannia in 1939. He served in H.M.S. Victory and then H.M.S. Hood as a Midshipman.

His father also served in the Second World War. He commanded an AMC during the early part of the war. Thomas was 20 years old at the time of his loss. We have no additional information. We have no additional information.
