Biographical Information: "Les", as he was known to his friends, was born in Portsmouth, Hampshire on 28 April 1912. His parents were James and Emma Foden. Les was educated in the Portsmouth area. He is believed to have joined the Navy at a young age. Les was 29 years old at the time of his loss. We have no additional information.
