Biographical Information: Joseph was born on 18 July 1920. He was the second eldest of 6 children born to Andrew and Margaret Gillan of Musselburgh, Midlothian, Scotland. He was a member of Hood's Number Four 4" gun crew. He was 20 years old at the time of his loss. We have no additional information.
