Biographical Information: Leonard was born on 22 December 1917 to parents Arthur and Lilian James, of Coventry. The family resided at 32 Gordon street. Leonard was employed at Morris Motors Ltd. before joining the Navy.

Leonard was 23 years old at the time of his loss. We have no additional information.
