Biographical Information: Hugh was born on 09 October 1923 in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland. He attended First St Anne's Church. He joined the Navy in 1938 and was subsequently trained at H.M.S. Caledonia and H.M.S. St George. He was posted to Hood in time for the operation at Mers-el-Kebir. He was 17 years old at the time of his loss. We have no additional information.
