In 1960, Twentieth Century Fox released the motion picture "Sink the Bismarck." This entertaining but heavily fictionalised film starred Kenneth More and Dana Wynter. It even spawned a popular song by the late American singer Johnny Horton (he was inspired to write the song after seeing the film). Hood has also been the subject of a number of documentaries.
